Amerikkka the Ugly. It shows its face daily when you are a Person of Color – while driving, shopping (especially in upscale shops), politics, the news (Fox in particular), conservative talk shows, and yes, during the national anthem. Why should Blacks stand during the national anthem? Why would any Black in her/his right mind desire to serve in the military of a nation of people who have refused to accept them despite forced integration, the dismantling of Jim Crow laws, Christian beliefs, and the passing of time? I feel nothing in my heart when I see the Stars and Stripes except a bit of sorrow at having been born in a country where my people are so hated and spit upon, about the same as I feel when I see the Rebel flag.

White Americans, and probably Whites in other lands where there is a lot of racial diversity, refuse to see racism. They simply just don’t want to admit to it. They will whine about ‘reverse discrimination’ and how they supported President Obama and claim they have  this many Black friends…and on and on. They try to convince you that they care about you as a person when the reality is, they care more about dogs and other Whites. That is the profound truth about White people – you can see it from the silly pet commercials – most of which feature hairy, stinking dogs – and how they behave in public. I am getting to a point in my life where I want to stay as far away from White people as possible.

Colin Kaepernik’s birth mother, a White woman who was destitute at the time of his birth and who also was dumped by Kaepernik’s Black father (which may be a reason she’s chiding her son on social media), has been criticized by many for even slamming the son she gave up for adoption back in the late 80s. After all, she wasn’t there for the guy – it was the Kaeperniks who raised him, who clothed him, fed him, and stood by him through thick and thin. Heidi Russo did not. The children she kept are probably the same race as she. As for Kaepernik, he has yet to respond to any of that woman’s social media ire and it’s doubtful he even will. I know I wouldn’t.

Here is what this human being had to say about why he did not stand for the national anthem –

“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and People of Color,” Kaepernik told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game, “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

I sure as hell don’t see many other Black or non-White celebrities standing up the way Kaepernik has, and I applaud him for his decision. It’s about time we People of Color did something like this. Stop being so scared of what the White Man will do to you – he doesn’t have that much damn control over your precious careers in Hollywood and the music biz and wherever, and if he does, you gave it to him. Stop being so greedy, so self-centered, and so utterly blinded. White people – whether they are Jews or Christians or whatever they call themselves – don’t care about you anyway, they only want what money they can make off your Uncle Tom asses.

Colin Kaepernik, I am with you sincerely and totally. I hope others throw in their lot to be with you.
