It’s coming. Brace yourselves. World War Three is just over the horizon, and many of you have only your stupid little selves to blame because you voted that nincompoop into office. If there is a major war, the US will be on the losing end this time. Russia’s on the side of the Middle East, Syria in fact, and the big bear will surely attack. While rednecks are no doubt cheering the news of an American strike against a Syrian airbase, those with any sense in their heads are wholly in opposition.
I don’t understand why the US has to become involved in the conflicts of other nations. Why won’t our Gestapo government simply mind its own business and stay out of the affairs of others? This is a damn good reason many people are anti-American outside of this country, and rightly so. They are tired of the USA butting into their problems. Let them solve their own frigging issues, I say!
According to CNN, Russian President Vladimir Putin has denounced the US strike against a Syrian government airbase as “aggression against a sovereign state in violation of the norms of international law.”
“Tonight, I ordered a targeted military strike on the air field in Syria from where the chemical attack was launched,” Trump said during short remarks to reporters at Mar-a-Lago, where he ordered the strike just hours earlier. “It is in this vital national security of the United States to prevent and deter the spread and use of deadly chemical weapons.”
While Marco Rubio stated that Russia should feel ‘ashamed, embarrassed‘, Rand Paul had this to say:
“While we all condemn the atrocities in Syria, the United States was not attacked,” Paul said. “The President needs congressional authorization for military action as required by the Constitution, and I call on him to come to Congress for a proper debate.”
From the Guardian: The office of the Syrian president has called the US strike against one of its air bases in central Homs “reckless” and “irresponsible,” AP reports. The statement Friday said the strikes were “shortsighted” and reflect a continuation of policy regardless of which administration that is based on targeting and “subjugating people.” It added that the dawn attack was not based on true facts.
The NY Times reported that Iran, Russia’s main ally in the region in buttressing Mr. Assad, also condemned the American attack, which left six people dead, according to the Syrian Army. Speaking on state television, a spokesman for the Syrian Army described the missile strikes as an act of “flagrant aggression.”
While American allies in Europe and the Middle East – Israel of course, Saudi Arabia and Turkey – support Trump’s decision, Russia most assuredly does not.
The British defense secretary, Michael Fallon, expressed support for the American missile strikes. “One of the purposes of this very limited and appropriate action was to deter the regime from using gas in this appalling way,” he told the BBC.
In a joint statement, Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and President François Hollande of France said that Mr. Assad, the Syrian president, “bears sole responsibility.”
Weapons-wise and in other ways, Russia is Europe’s big powerhouse whether they like it or not, and when you piss off the Russian bear, it will roar and go on the attack. ISIS is another factor, and my fear is that there will be major retaliation from this terrorist group before the summer ends.
