Casey Anthony is an acquitted murderess who currently lives in Florida working with and for her boyfriend, who was a private investigator on her case, because no one else will hire her. She hardly has any friends, apparently parties no longer, and has a dead end life now. But at least she has a life. Little Caylee, the two year girl she had no use for because the child cut into her ‘living la vida loca’ lies in a grave, nothing but bones and dirt. Mothers kill their children – it happens all the time with legalized murder – abortions – and homicide. Casey wasn’t the first woman to walk after causing the death of her child and she won’t be the last. However, her lackadaisical attitude towards the missing little girl, as well as her indifference when said little girl was found deceased, really incensed the nation which has led to millions of people hating on the purported child killer.
According to the prosecution, Casey used chloroform to sedate Caylee, then duct-taped her mouth and nose to suffocate her. This would allow her mother to go out partying without having to worry about the need for a babysitter. The defense alleges, however, that Caylee drowned in the Anthony swimming pool, and both Casey and her father George were complicit in covering up the death, which was accidental. Other allegations include the child being kidnapped by a Hispanic nanny by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez and presumably murdered by the woman, as well as Casey not being able to show much emotion for her missing child as proof that she’d been sexually molested by her father. Oh really now?
Friends and acquaintances of Casey testified in court that she never told them that Caylee was even missing, nor did she seem upset or sad or anything of that nature. She never asked them for help in trying to find her missing daughter either. The parents of Casey maintain that whenever they asked about their granddaughter, Casey would tell them one lie after another until she finally claimed that Caylee was with the nanny. The grandparents then tracked down Casey’s car and detected what they declared was the ‘smell of death’ inside the vehicle. Cindy Anthony said: “There is something wrong. I found my daughter’s car today and it smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car.” She later recanted, claiming that the remark had been taken out of context.
On July 5, 2011, the jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of counts one through three regarding first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter of a child, and aggravated child abuse, while finding her guilty on counts four through seven for providing false information to law enforcement:
- Count Four: Anthony said she was employed at Universal Studios during 2008, pursuant to the investigation of a missing persons report.
- Count Five: Anthony said she had left Caylee at an apartment complex with a babysitter causing law enforcement to pursue the missing babysitter.
- Count Six: Anthony said she informed two “employees” of Universal Studios, Jeff Hopkins and Juliet Lewis, at Universal, of the disappearance of Caylee.
- Count Seven: Anthony said she had received a phone call and spoke to Caylee on July 15, 2008, causing law enforcement to expend further resources – Wikipedia
People who are outraged at verdicts such as the Casey Anthony acquittal, the O.J. Simpson acquittal, the Steven Avery conviction, or the Richard Glossip conviction should realize that everything lies with the jury system. When you have regular citizens who have no true concept of the law and other legalities other than what is explained to them by the attorneys, people who otherwise wield no power in their ordinary lives – housewives, clerks, fast food workers, cashiers, janitors, teachers, truck drivers, retirees, etc – and you give them a chance to play God(dess), what the hell do you expect? I say we should do away entirely with juries and let those with legal knowledge of the law decide the fate of the accused.
Casey Anthony had this to say in March 2017 regarding the extreme loathing which the public has for her: “I don’t give a shit about what anyone thinks about me, I never will. I’m okay with myself, I sleep pretty good at night.” Sounds like a true bitch who deserves her currently shitty life.
The real victim in this appalling circus of tragedy
